Ranger Pace Counting Beads are a simple way to measure distances traveled by foot, particularly at night when visibility can be an issue. These beads are made of durable nylon material and feature a buckle clasp, with a choice of cord or bead chain. The product offers heavy-duty durability, a stylish and inconspicuous design, and is easy to use and carry.

The beads measure approximately 10mm x 8mm, and the cord is 550-pound strength ungutted paracord. The buckle is made of 3/8" ABS plastic. It's worth noting that these beads are designed to slide with resistance, and for effortless bead sliding, the manufacturer's gutted models are recommended.

When it comes to sizing, users should measure their wrist and add 1/2 inch for a tight fit, 1 inch for a comfortable fit, or 1.5 inches for a loose fit. The size refers to the size of the bracelet when closed, not the wrist size.

For optimum performance, all pace counter bracelets are ungutted, meaning the inner strands are left inside. If a user requires a bracelet designed to slide effortlessly, they can contact the manufacturer for a custom request to have the inner strands removed.

Pace counters or ranger beads are manual counting tools used to keep track of distance traveled through a pace count. They are made of 13 or more beads on a length of cord, divided into two sections separated by a knot. The lower section has 9 beads, while the upper section has 4 or more beads.

To use the beads, users should measure out 100 meters and walk the entire distance while counting every time their left foot touches the ground. This helps establish their typical stride and pace, which is important for an accurate count.

Each of the bottom beads equals 100 meters traveled, and each of the top beads represents a kilometer traveled. As the user walks, they slide one bead from the bottom section down for every 100 meters traveled. Once all 9 beads from the bottom section have been used, the user will then slide one of the top 4 beads down after traveling another 100 meters, indicating they have traveled 1 kilometer.

The separator is adjustable and can be moved up or down depending on the user's preference. If a user requires more or fewer beads for their counting needs or a different configuration, the manufacturer can provide customized solutions.
